I’m Ryan Cannell, aka Ryan the Writing Tutor – the fun, friendly English tutor based in West Sussex. I turn reluctant young writers into confident storytellers… without it ever feeling like another school lesson!

Somewhere between my English degree and helping a class invent a superhero made of custard, I found my passion: inspiring children to discover their story-writing bug! 🐛

Over the past eight years, I’ve tutored 43 brilliant children – and many return for a second, third, or even fourth year!

I work with families across Steyning, Shoreham, Burgess Hill, and beyond, and now run the Children's Writing Club at HurstWorks in Hurstpierpoint. Whether your child needs a boost or just loves to write, you’re in the right place.
