Richard Sutcliffe

Richard Sutcliffe is 32 years old and was formally diagnosed with profound autism at the age of 3. Autism seriously impairs his learning, social inter-action and communication skills and Richard often prefers his own company. He began seriously drawing cartoons at the age of 7, creating a universe where he is always the central character with complete control over everyone else’s movements. He has placed himself within a lot of classic and original stories, making comics, cartoon strips and thousands of sequential drawings to make cartoon animations. Richard is obsessed with drawing and works late into the night (and sometimes all night), never making mistakes, grimacing into the mirror, which is constantly at his side, to get just the right expression for his character.
Richard is a wonderful young man and his ambition is the same as many other teenagers – to be rich and famous!
