Rethinking Violence & Justice explores how violence can function as an expression of emotional distress among Black men in prison. Led by Dr Morgan, the channel shares research insights, theory‑informed analysis, and conversations that centre dignity, context, and lived experience.
We examine the emotional worlds of Black men in custody through a trauma‑informed, culturally responsive lens—looking at how structural conditions, identity, culture, history, and emotional suppression shape the ways distress is expressed in environments where vulnerability is unsafe.
