Land of Rest and Roar

Land of Rest and Roar is a mindful learning space for kids, families, & educators. Learn nervous system regulation & stress‑reduction skills through calming activities & read-alouds. Learn how chronic stress & chronic illnesses like Long COVID, ME/CFS, dysautonomia, & post-viral illnesses can confuse the autonomic nervous system & keep the body stuck in fight‑or‑flight or freeze.

My kids books explore what it is like for kids & parents living with chronic illness. I introduce inner worlds that help kids understand thoughts, feelings, & body signals. Building awareness allows the truth to unfold that you are not your thoughts or emotions. You can choose how to respond.

I turn big science into simple skills to help protect kids from harmful stress and scary life events. Many families deal with too much stress every day. Over time, this can make it easier to get long‑term health problems, including post‑viral illness. Reduce stress & find more joy. One mindful moment at a time.
