Reinvestigation Workgroup

The Reinvestigation Workgroup is a Minnesota-based investigative team that re-examines cases of police violence after the official investigation is over. We are not attorneys. “We dig deeper” is the motto of the Reinvestigation Workgroup. Our overarching goal is to disseminate the authentic narrative of a police killing to the family members, their attorneys, and to the broader public.

After the killing of Thurman Blevins in 2018 by Minneapolis Police Officers, the Reinvestigation Workgroup (RWG) formed to help families learn the truth of what happened to their loved one and seek accountability after someone is killed by the police.
