Real Ambulance Calls

Real ambulance calls from a paramedic in the UK, New Zealand and Australia.

I'm Colin Bamforth. In the UK I worked solo on a response car in Kent, and as helicopter air crew with Kent Air Ambulance. In New Zealand I worked front-line with St John and taught their clinical and driving courses, and I worked as a motorcycle instructor and examiner. I now work in remote Australia, and live in New Zealand.

These are real calls, told plainly: what happened, what we decided, and what I learned. Names and details are changed or left out to protect patients and colleagues.

If you want to know how the body works, and why it sometimes goes wrong, I explain it on my other channel, The Why Behind the Body: youtube.com/@WhyBehindtheBody
