Read for the Brand Children's Picture Books

The Read for the Brand Children’s Books are created way out West by a mother & daughter team. Mom, Mary Fichtner writes in rhyme & daughter, Roslan illustrates in brilliant watercolor.  They have a passion to share all the things they have learned from the horses & characters they have loved. They believe in the power of storytelling  - it changes hearts & builds character in many lives.

Where does the name "Read for the Brand" come from? Western culture talks about loyalty with the saying "Ride for the Brand" - so for our western books, we love that same concept, but with reading. Rusty, one of our main characters, was a favorite horse they had the pleasure of knowing & are honored to share a little bit of life through his eyes, along with many other special animals. They love the idea of a herd of kids who love to read, getting smarter every day through their love of stories and all things western. NO AI is ever used for writing or creating our stories.
