Promise Consortium

The PROMISE Consortium is a multi-country initiative that strengthens national and municipal capacity for evidence-based sanitation, hygiene, and environmental health policy, planning, financing, and implementation across low- and middle-income countries. Operating in Bangladesh, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Scotland, Senegal, Tanzania, Uganda, the United States of America and Zambia, PROMISE works through partnerships with governments, academic institutions, utilities, and development partners to reduce environmental pathogen exposure, improve health outcomes, and institutionalise the routine use of evidence in sanitation and hygiene decision-making.
