Office Hours with Professor McGrath

Practical, plain-language help with CAEP accreditation for educator preparation programs.

I work in teacher education program development and accreditation, and I serve as a CAEP reviewer. I know how overwhelming accreditation can feel, especially when you’re writing the report on top of everything else. This channel breaks the process into clear, manageable steps.

Katie’s CAEP Corner walks you through writing your Self-Study Report from start to finish, covering CAEP Initial Standards 1–5. You’ll get guidance on organizing evidence, writing clear narratives, and presenting your data with confidence.

This channel is for EPP faculty, assessment and accreditation coordinators, and deans, whether you’re preparing your first report or your fifth. Have a question for a future video? Leave it in the comments.
