Piper & The Hard Times

Hey y'all! Piper & The Hard Times is a Nashville, TN-based blues, rock, and soul band fronted by the incomparable, Al "Piper" Green. Piper & The Hard Times won the 2024 International Blues Challenge (IBC) for bands, the 2025 IBC for Best Self-Produced Album, and the 2025 Blues Music Award for Best Emerging Artist. The band brings charisma, flamboyance, and the earthiness of blues with the power and authority of gospel. The band has an instrumental prowess that enables them to improvise with flair, while still creating a melodic appeal that can immediately connect with audiences who want inspired original songs with strong grooves and catchy hooks. The band was founded by Piper, Steve Eagon (guitar), and Dave Colella (drums), and with support from Amy Frederick (keys) and Parker Hawkins (bass).
