Philadelphia Community Solar Power Project

Human Rights Coalition (HRC) builds power for communities most harmed by pollution, poverty, and incarceration. Through our Philadelphia Community Solar Power Project, we organize for clean, community-owned energy. Our goal is for West Philadelphia families (including justice-impacted ones) to learn how solar energy connects to affordability, sustainability, local jobs, public health, and community ownership.

Backed by the Green Healthy Homes Initiative's Thriving Communities Program, this project is focused on making solar education more accessible and relevant to everyday Philadelphians — especially communities that have historically been left out of clean energy conversations.
