PURE - The Pyrolysis Unit for Recycling and Energy

PURE (Pyrolysis Unit for Recycling and Energy)

We’re a student team building a self-sustaining machine that turns plastic waste into fuel. The gas the process leaves over is burned to heat the next batch, so the unit keeps running on its own waste.

Here you’ll see the real builds, tests and mistakes: our $5 prototype, the flame test, and the next design. Backed by an IBGYAF grant, with a UK registered design.
