Pitt County African American Caucus

The African American Caucus is an integral part of the North Carolina Democratic Party with the mission to grow Pit County African-American participation in the Democratic Party.  Mission Statement: The African American Caucus – North Carolina Democratic Party was founded on February 8, 2003, in order to fight for equality for African Americans, strengthen participation in politics, and promote education. We also represent the concerns of our members to Democratic Party leadership and ensure that the party’s positions are communicated to our members. Our goal is to organize a chapter in every county of North Carolina, in accordance with our by-laws.
