OpenArms Malawi

Open Arms Malawi is a UK registered charity bringing life-saving support to vulnerable children in Malawi.

We work to support orphaned and vulnerable children, helping them survive and have a healthy future with their families. We address families' basic needs, like food and healthcare. We help them earn an income and take care of themselves so that they can build a brighter future. This means children can be successfully raised at home and families can become self sufficient within 3-5 years of support. Strengthening the whole family in this way creates better life outcomes for children, more resilience for families, and sustainable, long term change for underserved communities breaking the cycle of poverty for good.

We also work closely with our communities and have set up nine nursery schools, providing free early years education and a daily nutritious meal to over 600 children, to help combat malnutrition and give them the foundations for learning.
