On Unfolding with Jennie & Ryan Denney

We're Ryan and Jennie Denney, associate marriage and family therapists, partners, parents of four, and the people behind The Unfolding project. We met as teenagers at church, and we've spent the last twenty-plus years trying to figure out what it means to live honestly through faith deconstruction, identity crises, mental health crises, cross-country moves, living abroad, and eventually, graduate school to become therapists.
This channel is for anyone in the middle of something hard and unresolvable: a kid who's self-harming and you don't know what to do, a faith that no longer fits, a version of yourself you're not sure you believe in anymore. We make videos and podcast episodes about psychology, identity, faith, parenting, and the slow work of unfolding.
We've come to believe that living well has less to do with certainty than with learning to stay curious and remain present, and that the best thing we can offer anyone is a safe place to find their way in their own unfolding.
