Шотландия глазами украинки

This whole video is all about our life in the Scottish outback. It’s on the edge of geography for people who have lived their whole lives in a big city.

Due to the war in Ukraine, we moved from Kharkiv (a city with over 1.5 million people) to a small provincial town in Scotland (with a population of 1,000). It is very far from our home—so far from Ukraine… so far from everything that is important to us. This is a terrible catastrophe in our lives, but I try to see something special in each day here. Although living here is boring and nondescript, this unjust, disgusting war and everything happening in Ukraine right now is a huge injustice and a terrible shock in our lives. It is especially hard now for my two teenage sons. They have lost friends, school, freedom, and youth. But we continue to live, trying to see something beyond our fear for tomorrow.
