Bottom Up Math

My name's Jackson. My love for math has led me to start an enterprise I call "Bottomupmath," aka BUM. Right now it's just a channel, but my goal is to make a website like Khan Academy. Khan Academy is an incredibly effective free tool for learning math. If Khan Academy works for 99% of people, the goal of BUM is to help the 1% who don't click with it or traditional teaching. I've tutored people who really struggle with math, and I've noticed some common themes:

1. They have gaps in their knowledge.

2. They think they're "dumb" at math.

It's okay to be dumb. How "smart"/"dumb" you are means nothing regarding your worth as an individual; it's literally a random trait assigned at birth. What you CAN control is the effort you give. That's what I value, and the reason I'm making BUM. Even if you aren't able to understand basic arithmetic, all that matters in the end is that you're trying, and I want to reward that effort the best I can. I have a lot of ideas of how to do this to share!
