Samantha Seymour

Hi, I'm Samantha Seymour, a Counsellor, Psychotherapist, Author and Speaker based in Adelaide, Australia.

This channel is about mental health, relationships, the patterns we carry and the wonderfully complicated business of being human.

Drawing on professional knowledge and lived experience, I talk honestly about unhealthy relationships, childhood patterns, ADHD, grief, chronic illness, people-pleasing, identity and starting again when life doesn't quite go according to plan.

You'll also find parts of my own story here, rebuilding after a long, toxic relationship, living with Multiple Sclerosis and reinventing myself in my 50s.

I'm the founder of New Start Counselling and Psychotherapy and author of the upcoming The Frog Was Never a Prince.
I certainly don't have life all figured out (just yet). This is about understanding ourselves, recognising what keeps us stuck, and working out what life we want to live.

Professional knowledge. Lived experience and very real conversations.
