Nature Restoration Alliance

The Nature Restoration Alliance Australia is a network of non-profit environmental restoration groups in Australia who have joined forces to support the goals of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration.

Previously called the Restoration Decade Alliance, our consortium formed on  World Environment Day 2021 to support the goals of the UN Decade on Ecosystem Restoration launched in the same year as a rallying call for the protection and revival of ecosystems all around the world. 

On World Environment Day 2026 - wih only 5 years left of the UN Decade– we have launched out long-term identity ‘Nature Restoration Alliance’  to reflect the imperative to extend restoration ambitions far longer than the end of the current decade. Our formal incorporation signals we are putting the consortium's roots down to help ensure that Australia’s efforts to restore the integrity and resilience of biodiversity are sustained for the long term.
