Nature And People As One

Nature and People as One (NaPO) is a grassroots conservation organization in Kenya that works to integrate ecosystem restoration with the well-being and leadership of indigenous communities such as the Rendille and Samburu. Founded by Youth,NaPO focuses on dryland forest restoration, sustainable rangeland management, and human–wildlife coexistence through community-led initiatives. By combining traditional knowledge with modern conservation practices, NaPO has regenerated degraded lands, supported indigenous governance structures, and employed local herders in wildlife monitoring—creating a model where people and nature thrive together.
