Legends Reel

Legends Reel tells the stories of the greatest athletes who ever lived, using the real archival film of their fights, races and games.

Real film, real history. We build each documentary from public-domain footage held by the National Archives, the Library of Congress and early film collections, and we check every fact against the historical record. Any reenactment is clearly labeled on screen.

New long-form documentaries about boxing legends, early baseball, Olympic pioneers and more, from the champions everyone knows to the ones history tried to forget.
