Sara “Sass” Siders is a singer/songwriter based out of central Illinois. Sass’ sound mixes elements of blues, rock, country, hip-hop, R&B, and soul, creating a style that’s unmistakably her own. Add in that raspy, sultry voice and one-of-a-kind covers, and she’s guaranteed to leave you speechless and wanting more.

Sass cut her teeth fronting the alt-rock/pop-punk/funk group Upshot (2006-2016), touring regionally and honing the powerful live presence she’s known for today. She later co-founded the genre-blending duo Mank & Sass (2016-2023), where she expanded her songwriting and vocal versatility, releasing original music that fused old classic sounds with modern edge.

Now performing as SASS, she builds on that history with a bold, emotionally honest solo sound. Loop-driven, raw, and deeply human. Whether reimagining classics or performing her own stories, Sass brings grit, heart, and undeniable soul to every stage.
