Mushō-Avant-Garde Calligraphy

Mushō (無象書)(pronounced “moo-shoh”), or “formless writing,” is an avant-garde ink practice being developed by Mosslight.
This channel shares short films and performances of abstract calligraphy and process art, inspired by Japanese aesthetics of wabi-sabi (imperfection, impermanence) and the meditative rhythm of Shodō.

Artist Statement: Mushō by Mosslight is my avant-garde calligraphy practice where ink, silence, and gesture dissolve the boundary between writing and painting. I do not seek accuracy of characters, but the immediacy of breath, splash, and presence. Each piece is a performance — a single stroke that holds both impermanence and eternity.
