Living Ceramics Museum – Cerámicas El Dorado

The Living Ceramics Museum – Cerámicas El Dorado is a unique cultural space in Colombia and in El Carmen de Viboral, where the ancestral ceramic tradition comes to life. We preserve original techniques, historic tools, and authentic handcrafted processes that reflect more than six decades of work. Visitors experience the full journey of clay: extraction, preparation, casting, hand-decorating under glaze, and firing.

Our mission is to preserve, educate, and inspire. We protect a craft recognized as Colombia’s Intangible Cultural Heritage and as a Designation of Origin. Through guided tours, live demonstrations, and educational documentaries, we honor the legacy of the artisans who built this tradition and motivate new generations.

The Living Museum is more than a visit—it's an encounter with the identity of El Carmen de Viboral. Here, every dish tells a story, and every brushstroke keeps this heritage alive.
