Welcome to the Muscle Shoals National Heritage Area's YouTube channel! You'll find videos celebrating northwest Alabama's music & American Indian heritage and the Tennessee River plus videos linked to our Roots of American Music Trail website. RAMT highlights MSNHA's music museums, recording studios, venues & festivals. The oral-history videos feature interviews with musicians, songwriters & record producers who made hits for the stars in the 1960s, '70s & '80s -- earning us the title "Hit Recording Capital of the World."
MSNHA promotes cultural tourism by education, preservation & conservation of historic & natural elements in the six northwest Alabama counties (Colbert, Franklin, Lauderdale, Lawrence, Limestone & Morgan) of the Tennessee River basin. We develop & interpret visitor-ready sites, support local programs that help tell our story & chronicle the landscape's evolution while extending these opportunities to everyone.
