Mulmo Music

Classical piano you can watch.

Mulmo Music turns the great piano repertoire into 3D animations where every note becomes something you can see: a marble striking a marimba bar, a key lighting up, a domino falling, a music-box tooth being plucked. Nothing is approximate. Each visual event is placed at the exact moment its note sounds, so the picture and the music move as one.

Every piece is transcribed note by note from public-domain scores and checked bar by bar against historical printed editions. All the music is generated with JingleScript, an open-source music engine (github.com/receptron/jinglescript), playing a sampled Steinway concert grand. The animations are built and rendered from the same note data.

Liszt, Chopin, Debussy, Beethoven, Rachmaninoff, Schubert — and more to come.

Put on headphones, relax, and enjoy watching the music.
