Movement to Protect the People - MTOPP

We are neighbors, Prospect Park lovers, gardeners, home owners, apartment dwellers, tenants, community workers, sun worshipers, block associations, neighborhood organizers, small business owners etc. We are the backbone of a community.

In 2014, we mobilized to protect Crown Heights South and Flatbush from the ravages of gentrification: accelerated out of context development, rising rents and property taxes, the displacement of local residents and the desecration of Brooklyn Botanic Garden and Prospect Park.  As a result, we, the residents of Community Board 9, made this the only community to stop a district wide rezoning.  Join Us in this fight!
