Motorcyclist Awareness Month

October is Motorcyclist Awareness Month. 

With motorcycle usage growing in popularity and motorcyclists being more vulnerable to injury than other road users, saving riders’ lives and preventing injuries remains a critical road safety challenge. 

Between 2017 and 2021, motorcyclists accounted for around 16% of road deaths. 
That’s why the Victorian Government’s Motorcycling Community Engagement Panel (MCEP) alongside the TAC, Road Safety Victoria and Victoria Police are working together to create more awareness of motorcyclists to keep them safer on our roads. 

We can all play our part to help keep riders safer on our roads.
