Michi Sánchez for Georgia Labor Commissioner

Michi Sánchez is a community organizer, mother, and candidate for Georgia Labor Commissioner in the 2026 Democratic Primary. Born in Boyle Heights, LA and raised in Georgia since 1999, she has spent over a decade fighting for working families across the state.

After experiencing wage theft firsthand and losing her daughter Hayley, Michi made it her mission to ensure no Georgia worker gets left behind. She is a founding board member of Georgia Familias Unidas, a former board member of Georgia Conservation Voters, and has organized with the Democratic Party of Georgia, Progressive Turnout Project, CASA in Action, and Poder Latinx.

Her platform centers on six pillars: Wage Theft Enforcement, Worker Protections, Unemployment Reform, Clean Energy Jobs, Language Access, and Ending Exploited Labor.
