Michelle Calder is A Nova Scotian, HRM-based indie folk-pop singer-songwriter and nature enthusiast, who enjoys combining her two passions by including themes of nature, hiking, travel and adventure in her songwriting. For Michelle, the creative process most often begins with a notebook, acoustic guitar, and a scenic location to use as inspiration; the process of creating the art being as much a valued part of the art itself as the final finished recording. A seasoned songwriter but novice guitar player however, she delights in including various skilled musicians in her process, to help bring her scenes to life
