Malta in Minecraft

MiM (Malta in Minecraft) is rebuilding the Maltese islands in Minecraft at true 1:1 scale: one block is one metre, everywhere. 🇲🇹

It's built from real data:
• Land from the Planning Authority's LiDAR surveys: every cliff and valley at its real height
• Seabed from a 2012 sonar survey: reefs, drop-offs and caves where divers know them
• Rock layers that follow Malta's real geology, and countryside that follows real habitats
• Landmarks like the Inland Sea and Fungus Rock modelled from surveys and photos

Here we'll showcase flythroughs, real-vs-Minecraft comparisons and progress updates. Know a place we should show, or spot something that doesn't match real life? Tell us in the comments.
