Municipal Electric and Gas Alliance

The Municipal Electricity and Gas Alliance (MEGA) uses the collective buying power of member counties, local governments, and school districts to secure competitively-priced electricity, natural gas, and renewable power in the state of New York.
Established by two counties in 1998 by the New York Legislature, MEGA’s primary objective is to help local governmental entities minimize the cost of energy through competitive procurements and direct access to energy market expertise.
