The Medieval Middle East - Dr Nicholas Morton

Nicholas Morton is an Associate Professor in Middle Eastern history at Nottingham Trent University (UK) and has been teaching Medieval Middle Eastern History (especially the history of the Crusades) at universities since 2008. ✝️
He is the author or the/an editor of ten books on these subjects including: 

- The Mongol Storm: Making and Breaking Empires in the Medieval Near East (Basic Books, 2022). 
- The Crusader States and their Neighbours: A Military History (Oxford University Press, 2020). 
- The Field of Blood: the Battle for Aleppo and the Remaking of the Medieval Middle East (Basic Books, 2018). 
- (co-edited with Elizabeth Lapina) The Uses of the Bible in Crusader Sources (Brill, 2017). 
- Encountering Islam on the First Crusade (Cambridge University Press, 2016).
