GrandyMarty (M.E. Slighte, Author)

Marty Slighte was born in Washington State and spent his early years all around the Puget Sound in the Pacific Northwest: From Port Townsend to Lake Stevens and many places in between. He currently enjoy living at the base of the Salish Sea in Olympia, Washington, with his dog, Ruger Bear. 

His undiagnosed autism and dissociative identity disorder made both his childhood and parenting his three children as a young person full of intergenerational trauma for all sides involved. 

Not having access to intergenerational wealth but having a special interest in food preparation, his first book, a cookbook called Intergenerational Cooking is a method for Marty to pass down something of value to his descendants as well as his connections.

Marty is currently finishing his first memoir, The Car that Ran on Prayers.
