Makoran Files | Lost Histories & Iran's Coast

Welcome to Makoran Files (The Makran Archive).

We document the forgotten histories, ancient maritime ports, and raw, untouched landscapes of the Makran Coast and Chabahar in southeastern Iran—where desert cliffs meet the Indian Ocean.

Through cinematic field footage and clearly labeled historical reconstructions, each file uncovers a piece of a coast older than empires: from the 2,300-year-old port of Tis and British Indo-European Telegraph stations to hidden sea arches and monsoon phenomena.

No presenters. No distractions. Only the land and its history.
