Mahalaxmi Farm | Bhatt's Handmade Pickles

Mahalaxmi Farm is our family farm in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, run by Rajesh and Alka Bhatt in the Kumaon foothills.

This is where the family has planted, harvested, cooked, gathered, and passed down recipes from one generation to the next.

The name Mahalaxmi comes from the first generation of the family - Mahadevi Bhatt and Laxmi Dutt Bhatt, Rajesh’s parents.

Rajesh Bhatt has been making pickles since 1982, carrying forward family methods and refining them over decades. Bhatt’s is the name we now put on those family recipes as we share them beyond our home.

Many of the ingredients begin right here at Mahalaxmi Farm - including mango, jackfruit, karonda, and turmeric - while other ingredients are sourced from Kumaon and the surrounding hills, as each recipe requires.
