MUS 7 The Science of Sound and Music

UC San Diego Music Department Course, MUS 7, previously titled "Music, Science, and Computers", later on changed to "Music, Media, and Technology", is a course that aims to explore the interactions among music, science, and technology. 

This channel is created by Jingwei Liu, an assigned instructor for this course, also a Ph.D. candidate in computer music at UC San Diego. This channel serves as an archive of her media teaching materials and lecture recordings.

This version of MUS 7, designed by Jingwei Liu, focuses more on the scientific study of music and sound, covering interdisciplinary subjects such as PDE, physics, cognitive science, neuroscience, DSP, group theory, information theory, neural networks, etc., all connected back to music and sound. Therefore, this offering of MUS 7 is retitled "The Science of Sound and Music".
