LoadTakedown is a free-to-start web app: upload the architect's PDF, trace the walls and floors, and get tributary areas and wall loads down to the foundations, with every number traceable. This channel has short how-tos on the app and on the method behind it: loaded widths, wall self-weights, beam reactions, foundation line loads and quick checks.

For early-stage design and gravity loads on walls and floors. Not frame analysis, lateral stability or member design. Results need checking by a competent engineer.
