Living the Koji Life

Welcome to Living the Koji Life! 🌾👩🏻‍🍳

Discover the ancient culinary magic of fermentation, hosted by Naoko, a Japanese koji specialist, and Tony, a resting sake brewer with eight years of experience. Our mission is to demystify koji and help you transform everyday cooking.

We focus on 3 things:

FERMENTATION: Keeping traditional techniques alive and accessible for the home kitchen.
UMAMI: Harnessing natural koji enzymes to unlock depth, sweetness, and savoury richness.
GUT HEALTH: Nurturing intestinal flora to boost immunity, support digestion, and promote health.

Koji isn't just for Japanese cooking—it is a universal tool that can transform any dish. Whether you are adding a deep, savoury twist to a classic or preparing fresh, delicate seafood, find out how this ancient ingredient can elevate meals from any culinary tradition.

P.S. While we are passionate about wellness, we also share a love for great drinks and sake—balance is everything! Let's Live the Koji Life together.
