Leonie E. Brown | Original Paintings. Full of Life.

Welcome to the world of Leonie E. Brown, a South African contemporary artist based in Cape Town.

My paintings explore colour, movement, memory and the complexity of being alive. Moving between abstract painting, figurative work and atmospheric landscapes, I create original paintings shaped by layered colour, expressive marks, texture and the unexpected discoveries of the studio.

Here, I share studio sessions, paintings in progress, details of finished works and glimpses into the ideas behind my practice.

My work reflects my interest in the energy, contradictions, beauty and depth of lived experience.
