Guerematchi’s approach to contemporary dance is: documentary physical theatre with the topics: Codes of the Black Body and the Black European Identity. In his work he tackles history and black culture and gives it a different angle and perspective. With his work he is creating discourses around epistemic paradigms of the arts and history with the help of visual artist curator and programmer Richard Kofi. Guerematchi is frequently involved in discussions around forgotten historic perspectives, mainly the Non Aligned Movement.  His Trilogy - Epistemologies of the Body entails the works: NAM - Non Aligned Movement; Hissy Fit - An Echo between Bodies and Funk - Keeping the Mothership Connection. For it he received a two year artistic development grand from the Performing Arts Fund NL and in partnership with ICK Amsterdam.  
The Kondvolk foundation supports his artistic work and expands it to reach an intersaction of society to promote art, social justice and the environment.
