Kathy on Earth

What's your favorite planet? Mine's Earth. This channel and podcast are about life on Earth - the animals, plants and people who live here and how we relate to each other. Hosted by Kathy Nicholas, occasionally featuring my cat(s) Tread (RIP) and Silver.

About me:
I spent two decades working for wildlife - at the San Diego Zoo, Polar Bears International, and International Fund for Animal Welfare (ifaw). My job was to try to move people to take action through stories of humans who are working to save animals - usually from the threats of other humans, but just as often now from the impact of fires, floods, and hurricanes.

I also love writers and filmmakers and creative people doing good things. So I talk with experts about animals and nature and filmmakers about their creative work.

And I can't let go of the "let's take action" part, so I throw in some lifestyle stuff about how you can improve life on Earth and respond to climate change.
