Hi, I'm Kate. The Accidental American living in Germany with her husband and two cats.

I was born in Germany to an American military family, spent most of my life growing up between American and German cultures, moved to the United States as an adult, and eventually moved back to Germany.

This channel is documenting my life as an immigrant, again in Germany.

Through video essays, documentaries, and personal stories, I explore what it's really like to live in Germany, return home after living in the United States, and how I navigate being an immigrant again, sharing my German language skills progress and hurdles. I share how I am building this new life in a new city, but in an old, familiar place.
