Karl Schriek

I'm Karl. I'm interested in infrastructure composition — building software ecosystems that stay controlled, but open for extension.

Most infrastructure ends up one of two ways: a rigid, bureaucratic nightmare, or a pile of goo that multiplies in every direction — often both at once. This channel is about the alternative: deliberately composing infrastructure as small, self-contained, interdependent modules instead of one giant monolith.

I built Snap CD, a composable CD tool for Terraform, OpenTofu and Pulumi, and a lot of what I make here shows it in action. uBt whether or not you ever touch Snap CD, the videos are about the underlying problem — how to compose systems that don't fall apart.

New videos across a few formats: Showcase (what and why), Deepdives (long-form discussions), Release Watch (each release) and sometimes a Sidewinder (off on a tangent).
