Kari Paints Memories

Hi, I’m Kari—a watercolour artist near Stellenbosch, South Africa.

I paint the places that shape our stories: childhood homes, first homes, family homes, and the ones we never quite leave behind. You’ll also find curious creatures, colourful collections, and glimpses of how a painting comes together.

I used to be a Molecular Biologist. Now I paint houses. Career planning took an interesting turn!

Follow along for painting processes, finished artwork, and reflections on finding room for creativity in a busy life.
