Korea Arnis Association, Inc.

The Korea Arnis Association is an organization dedicated to the study and practice of two renowned Filipino martial arts systems: Lapunti Arnis De Abanico and Grandmaster Nicomedes “Nick” Elizar’s Nickelstick Balintawak.

Lapunti Arnis De Abanico, founded and passed down by the Caburnay family in the early 20th century, is known for its distinctive abanico (fan-like) strikes, combining stick, blade, and empty-hand applications into a practical yet traditional system.

Nickelstick Balintawak, established by Cebu-based Grandmaster Nick Elizar, is a modern lineage of Balintawak Eskrima. It emphasizes single-stick combat, practical defense, and counter techniques, while preserving the core philosophy of Balintawak.

The Korea Arnis Association proudly preserves and promotes these two Filipino martial traditions while also inheriting the spirit and legacy of Taegukkwan , a martial art with deep roots in Korea.
