Kairo Bellamy

Kairo Bellamy is an author who writes dark fantasy and MM romance, crafting vivid worlds where black and LGBTQ+ characters stand at the heart of the story.

Kairo draws inspiration from mythology, folklore, spirituality, history, and the limitless possibilities of speculative fiction. Kairo creates immersive worlds filled with complex characters, intricate magic, romance, political intrigue, and morally complicated choices. His stories range across dark fantasy, romantasy, contemporary fantasy, cozy fantasy, gay fantasy, MM romance, and dark MM romantasy.

At the heart of his writing is a desire to create the kind of representation he wanted to see growing up as a kid in fantasy: worlds where black boys and black gay boys can see themselves in the stories. And not a side character of someone else’s adventure, but at the center of their own stories.
