Justice For Anthony

Anthony "Tony" Stewart was sentenced to 44 years in prison and is required to serve 21 years before he will be released on probation. Tony sustained a severe traumatic brain injury at age 14. As an adult, his IQ is closer to a child of 7 or 8 years of age, rather than an adult in his 40s, which left him unable to understand the basic elements of his case or assist his attorney in preparing a defense. Tony also has end-stage renal disease and has experienced negligence in medical care during incarceration. Due to the interaction between his health and the quality of the nutrition and medical care he receives while incarcerated, this sentence is a death sentence.

Tony's family and friends are working to raise awareness and gather support for the filing of a writ of habeas corpus that could bring Tony home to receive necessary medical care.
