Welcome to Jimmy Scott Jr | Shatkona Gardens!

I’m documenting my journey of transforming a sandy Florida plot into a thriving, 100% organic, high-density subtropical food forest and self-sufficient backyard homestead. Based in SWFL Zone 10, I share practical tips, honest trials, and creative permaculture solutions for growing abundant food in challenging environments.
On this channel, you’ll find:

* Organic Tropical Fruit & Rare Crops: High-density management and propagation tours of my favorite varieties, including top-tier mangos, avocados, mulberries, sapodillas, and rare sugarcanes.
* Backyard Chicken Homesteading: Integrating livestock into the ecosystem, functional infrastructure projects, and low-maintenance setups like our custom "chicken chunnel."
* Soil Building & Pest Solutions: Real-world, chemical-free methods for turning sterile Florida sand into rich, living soil using organic amendments and natural pest management.
