The JetSet

The JetSet is a Chicago-based duo built around the singing and songwriting of Al Engelmann and Joanne McMahon. Their music combines elements of folk, rock and pop. Al plays guitar, Joanne plays keyboards and they both share vocals. Al and Joanne met while attending songwriting classes at the Old Town School of Folk Music in Chicago. They began performing music together in 2016 after an unlikely re-connection on a shared flight out of Chicago. Late in 2019 they decided to form a creative collaboration, The JetSet, and began writing and recording original music together - much of it remotely through the covid-19 pandemic.
 
In addition to their JetSet songs, Al and Joanne have each released albums of their own (www.alengelmann.com, www.reverbnation.com/theautographs), and both are members of a Chicago-area classic dance rock band, Croozin’ the Loop (http://www.croozintheloop.com).
